National Water Infrastructure -Supporting Water Wells

NGWA believes that our nation’s water wells must be supported in any upcoming infrastructure legislation that advances through Congress. The United States has over 15 million private water wells serving over 40 million people. These water wells are largely located in rural, small, and underserved communities.

NGWA is advocating for federal grant funding to be made available to disadvantaged and rural communities for the rehabilitation and replacement of municipal and private water wells. Investing in the rehabilitation or replacement of existing water wells will save local communities potentially millions of dollars every year by forgoing costly connections to municipal water systems and allow homeowners more options when choosing how to source their water supplies.

Email your elected official and ask them to invest in our nation’s water wells!
